Begining in 1998, In addition to interactive
movies at Walt Disney World's Epcot Center, Avila
has done work for Sony, Motorola, Lennox, Compaq,
IBM, AMD, assisted independent filmmakers in
their marketing presentations, and released two
digital movie shorts. All as a part of an entertainment
based company, Humancode, in Austin, Texas, where
Avila performed the duties of Graphic Designer,
2D and 3D Artist, Flash Programmer, Storyboard
Artist, Compositor, Director and Motion Graphics
/ Special FX artist.
Leaving Humancode in 2000, Avila created his
first DBA, Dementia7.com and set to work full-time on his feature projects.
Meeting with Tony Hobdy in fall 2001, they created the company Dementia7 Studios
llc. in order to produce and develop Avila's extensive list of feature projects.
Their first, D7Peacemaker™ - Stage1, had a fantastic premier at A-Kon
13 in Dallas, TX on June 1, 2002, filling the presentation hall twice.
Following the premier Stage1 enjoyed
a remarkable run in local retail stores and due to the style, developed interest
among larger public distributors and local theaters.
Cultivating this momentum, Avila wrote his first screenplay, the sequel to
Stage1 entitled Prodigal
Child, set for full feature length. This would be
followed by two other features, WeaponNext and Final
Protocol, completing
the D7Peacemaker™ Saga. Moving into pre production of the first feature Prodigal
Child, Avila released this footage to the public and as a result, demand
grew enormously. Now in full pre production of Prodigal Child,
Avila heads straight into the saga while continuing to develop D7Studio's many
other projects. Utilizing his variety of talents in both creating the concept
and visualizing the universe, Avila also contributes with website design,
character design, screenwriting, animatics and much more.
Avila looks forward to cultivating his many future projects as well as moving
farther into the fields of Clothing Design, Merchandise and Video Game translation
of the feature projects.
